Breakfast Smoothie Bowl

I struggle with routine, apart from when it comes to breakfast! I alternate between this Breakfast Smoothie Bowl and Gluten Free Weet-Bix (with shreds of coconut MmMMMmm).

After a lot of trial and error, I have found the perfect combination of filling and tasty!

This recipe is:

  • GLUTEN FREE
  • DAIRY FREE
  • VEGAN FRIENDLY
  • REFINED SUGAR FREE

Ingredients –

  • 2 Handfuls of washed kale (leaves only)
  • 2 Handfuls of washed spinach
  • 1 large banana (for smoothie) / 1 small banana (for topping)
  • 1-2 cups of water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 Handful of blueberries
  • 2 strawberries

Method –

  • Put kale, spinach, large banana and water in blender
  • Blend until smooth
  • Poor mixture into breakfast bowl
  • Top with strawberries, blueberries, chia seeds, flaxseeds and banana!
