Cauliflower Pizza Base

I miss pizza. I miss ooey gooey, full of gluten pizza. So I’ve worked tirelessly to find a base that is tasty, free of gluten and healthy. I think I’ve made it. Just to let you know, this recipe makes 4 pizzas. Too much cauliflower can get you very bloated, so make sure you stick to the 4 pizza base rule and do not over indulge!


  • 500 grams of cauliflower
  • 2 Vegan eggs (2 tablespoons of chia seeds andΒ 6 tablespoons of water)
  • Tablespoon of oregano
  • 1/2 a clove of minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup of coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup of almond meal
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour


  • Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees celsius fan forced oven
  • Chop cauliflower to remove stalks, and place in a large sauce pot with enough water to cover
  • Bring water to a boil, and let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes
  • In the mean time make your vegan eggs, mix chia seeds and water and leave to stand
  • Drain cauliflower, and mash
  • In a large bowl add cauliflower, vegan egg, and the rest of the ingredients
  • Mix
  • In a baking tray add baking paper, and smooth 1/4 of the mixture into a round flat shape
  • Add toppings, I added tomato paste, red onions, pineapple, olives, mushrooms, green peppers and potato slices
  • Leave in the oven for 35 – 40 minutes
  • Leave to sit for 10 – 15 minutes before eating
  • ENJOY!

  2. Hello! Nice one… I envy you 😦 I tried Cauliflower Pizza Base twice… and both times, after baking and removed from the oven, the pizza doesn’t come off the baking paper. It gets stuck :/ Couldn’t eat at all.. sniff πŸ˜₯ Help!
